The film is based on the powerful, biblical epic of a champion chosen by God to deliver Israel. Samson’s (Taylor James) supernatural strength and impulsive decisions quickly pit him against the oppressive Philistine empire led by the wicked Prince Rallah (Jackson Rathbone).

His parents (Rutger Hauer and Lindsay Wagner) have reminded their son how God called him to free his people from the power of the Philistines. But he desires the simple life of a husband and father. He believes he has found that life when he meets Taren (Frances Sholoto-Douglas), a servant to Delilah (Caitlin Leahy) in Rallah’s palace. They fall in love, but on their wedding day Rallah betrays the couple. He kills Taren, setting Samson on a path of vengeance.

Powered by God’s supernatural strength, Samson single-handedly kills 1,000 Philistine soldiers with a donkey’s jawbone. Realising that Samson could lead a Hebrew uprising, King Balek (Billy Zane) sends Rallah away to fight on other fronts for the Philistine empire.

Years later, Rallah returns — determined to take Samson’s power and Balek’s throne. Rallah enlists Delilah to find the source of Samson’s strength, so he can have it for his own. At first Samson resists divulging his secret to Delilah. But soon he can’t resist the charms of the beautiful temptress. Samson is captured and blinded by his enemies. Imprisoned and powerless, he prays to God for grace, forgiveness and once more for supernatural strength.

The action packed film stars Jackson Rathbone, Rutger Hauer, Billy Zane, Lindsay Wagner, Caitlin Leahy and Taylor James.

The film was originally due to be released in UK cinemas, however after lengthly delays, the film has now been released straight to DVD and is available to buy now.
