RISEN is a powerful must see film, that will inspire, entertain and impact through its gripping and unique telling of Jesus’ death and resurrection. This film has the potential to change lives and is one of the most powerful films depicting the resurrection of Jesus. Click Here to Read our Review of RISEN.
The film is an epic re-telling of Jesus’ resurrection as seen through the eyes of an unbeliever. It follows Clavius, a high-ranking Roman military tribune and his aide Lucius, who are instructed by Pontius Pilate to ensure that Jesus’ radical followers don’t steal His body and claim resurrection. When the body goes missing within days, Clavius’ mission is to find the body, dispel rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.
Directed by Kevin Reynolds (The Count of Monte Cristo, Waterworld), and starring the BAFTA nominated Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love), as well as Tom Felton (the Harry Potter series) and Cliff Curtis (Sunshine), RISEN brings a wholly unique approach to the story of the resurrection, and its impact on the time. Told from the point of view of a character who not only didn’t believe, but who had to disprove it at any cost.
RISEN is out now on DVD in UK and available to buy
Other films that are scheduled to be shown at Creation Fest UK include: God’s Not Dead 2, Lost Kites, End of the Spear and War Room.
