Kevin Sorbo Working on Let There Be Light

Kevin Sorbo, known for his role of the atheist professor in God’s Not Dead and the lead role in the Hercules TV series is currently working on a film about an atheist who becomes a Christian, the film is titled Let There Be Light.

Kevin is working on the film with his wife Sam and Fox News commentator Sean Hannity, the film is based on the story of a world-renown atheist who becomes a Christian after a near death experience. As well as playing the atheist in the film, this will also be Kevin’s directorial debut.

Kevin’s wife Sam Sorbo has also co-written the film as well as staring in the film alongside her husband and two children, who Sam and Kevin both cast after their children auditioned for the roles.

Sean Hannity who is executive producer of the film, and has said he will be making a small appearance, added that after showing a rough cut of the film to a number of people, all of whom cried and laughed, described the plot as a “roller-coaster.”

Kevin has said that the film is “likened to ‘Ghost’ meets ‘Heaven Is for Real,’ with a dash of ‘God’s Not Dead,'” going on to say in regards to being a Christian in Hollywood “Hollywood can be a very superficial place but then again, so is the world… I choose not to focus on whatever negatives that might arise from my taking a stand for what I believe in, because our beliefs are what make us human. I couldn’t be the actor I am without knowing what I stand for.”

Let There Be Light is due for release in November 2017, however distribution is still to be worked out. When we get any more detail information, and a trailer, we will post them on the site, so make sure you are following us to get the latest news.
