Journey to Bethlehem is a fun, entertaining, hope filled musical based on the birth of Jesus, that captures the essence and truth of Christmas. This is a must see film and is not to be missed. Full of joy, hope and truth, it has to be one of the best and most epic Christmas movies of all time.

The film is based on the true story of the birth of Jesus. A musical that weaves pop songs and dance while following Mary and Joseph from meeting to marriage and their journey travelling to Bethlehem whilst staying safe from the Romans and culminating in the birth of our saviour Jesus.

Written and directed by Adam Anders this film really is inspired. It is well directed, well written and features some catchy pop songs to tell the greatest story of all time, along with a perfect cast, you will be taken with Mary and Jospeh on the journey to Bethlehem with them. The cast include Fiona Palomo and Milo Manheim as Mary and Joseph and Antonio Banderas portrays a mad King Herod which is probably of the best portrayals of Herod there has been.

Yes there is artistic licence throughout this film (the filmmakers even say this and also tell the audience it is based on a true story), its a musical based on the Nativity (think a High School Musical ish version of the Nativity), there are comedic elements including comedic wisemen. It might not be to everyones taste but it is entertaining and fun and definitely the best Christian musical and best Christmas movie.

Artistic licence aside, this film features one of the most powerful scenes ever, the birth of Jesus, you will be on your knees, in tears, as you worship our Saviour Jesus, the film is a must see just for that scene alone.

If there is just one film you see this year, one film you see this Christmas, make it this one, it is full of joy, hope and awe, and most of all you experience the truth of Christmas in a way never seen or heard before.

Journey to Bethlehem wonderfully captures what Christmas is all about, it brings joy and hope and uniquely shares the truth of Christmas and the truth of Jesus.

Bring your entire Church, bring your friends (Christian or not), this is accessible to all and will open eyes and hearts to Jesus.

Do not miss this.
