Seniors is an entertaining and humorous movie that brings a message of second chances and forgiveness. This is a must see for all the family.
The film follows a rebellious high school senior, who is sentenced to court-ordered community service at a retirement home, the last thing he expects to find is a friend. But a chance encounter with a troubled war veteran turns obligation into something neither of them saw coming.
As their unlikely bond deepens, both men are forced to confront the pasts they’ve been running from — and discover that no matter how old you are, it’s never too late to find purpose, healing and hope.
This is a rather wonderful and unique story that brings a lot of heart, there are small strands of faith woven through the film which brings a message of forgiveness and second chances. It is well written and manages to bring mystery, romance and humour wrapped up in solid production with John Rhys-Davis and Paris Brosnan (son of Pierce Brosnan) leading the cast.
The film also has a distinctive production model, written by Erica Leigh Dick and directed by Lance Clark, Seniors was produced by Forester Film, the filmmaking arm of Huntington University. University film students work alongside and are mentored by established industry professionals throughout the filmmaking process. Students that have worked on this film must take encouragement, the film is very well produced and hopefully this film helps develop and push them forward in their filmmaking career. It also looked like it was a lot of fun to make.
Overall Seniors is a fun and poignant film that brings laughter but also heart-warming moments, with theme of forgiveness and hope. This a must see film.
