David A.R. White, Pure Flix co-founder and star of the God’s Not Dead series of films has announced that God’s Not Dead 4 will begin filming in January.
Update: The trailer and Storyline has been released
In a video posted to Instagram, White announced that the fourth instalment will be titled God’s Not Dead: We The People and will be filmed in Oklahoma.
In the video White said that God’s Not Dead 4 is inspired by the 1946 Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life and the 1939 comedy-drama Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is a comedy-drama about a naïve local politician who goes to Washington D.C. to take the place of one of his state’s U.S. Senators. Mr. Smith was chosen because people believed he would be easy to manipulate. Instead, Smith ends up making some significant changes that help root out corruption.
God’s Not Dead 4 was originally scheduled to film during early 2020 however COVID restrictions have pushed the schedule to 2021.
For some this will be a surprise announcement as the series has spanned three films already, the first God’s Not Dead tackled Creation vs Evolution, God’s Not Dead 2 looked at the evidence of the existence of Jesus, while God’s Not Dead 3: A Light in Darkness took a different approached and was more of a story focused on Pastor Dave (played by David A.R. White).
God’s Not Dead 4 is set to be one of the most anticipated upcoming films, stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
