With Easter this weekend we have put together a list of a few films that we have selected that tells the message of Easter, the message of our Saviour Jesus. You may want to watch them as a reflection, or you may want to get some friends together to share with them who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

Mel Gibson’s The Passion of The Christ focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth’s life. The film begins in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus has gone to pray after sitting the Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to death.

Son of God
Now, the larger-than-life story of The New Testament gets a larger-than life treatment in the stand-alone feature Son of God. Told with the scope and scale of an action epic, the film features powerful performances, exotic locales, dazzling visual effects and a rich orchestral score from Oscar®-winner Hans Zimmer. Portuguese actor Diogo Morgado portrays Jesus as the film spans from his humble birth through his teachings, crucifixion and ultimate resurrection. From the producers of The Bible tv series.
RISEN
