Christian Concern and The Christian Legal Centre in association with The Christian Cinema Charitable Trust and Kaleidoscope Film Distribution are the official sponsors of the UK premiere of God’s Not Dead 2.
God’s Not Dead 2, the follow-up to the most successful independent faith film of 2014, takes place in the hometown of Hadleigh University, but the action shifts from a college campus to a courtroom, where a Christian teacher (Melissa Joan Hart) is dragged before a judge for answering a student’s question about the similarities of Jesus’ teachings to those of Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. Much more than her career is on the line as a civil-liberties group with an anti-God agenda looks to make an example of her that will remove God from the public square for good.
With exceptional performances from Melissa Joan Hart and Jesse Metcalfe and appearances from Lee Strobel and J. Warner Wallace bringing a real authority to the film, God’s Not Dead 2 is a well produced extremely relevant, exciting, dramatic and powerful must see film exploring the proof that Jesus existed as well as standing bold for our faith. The storyline to God’s Not Dead 2 is based upon many real life cases and Andrea Williams, Chief Executive of Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity to highlight a stark reality facing many Christians today. This film echoes many of our cases, in which clients have faced discipline, suspension and even removal from their professions, simply for manifesting their Christian beliefs. We encourage our supporters to attend the premiere and help us to stand for Christian freedoms.”
The UK premiere of God’s Not Dead 2 will take place on 22nd April 2016 at 7.00pm, at The Open Door Cinema at 25 Church Road, Crystal Palace, SE19 2TE.
Tickets for the premiere are priced at £30, £40 and £55. Proceeds will go towards aiding the work of the Christian Legal Centre. Tickets are available from Eventbrite.
