90 Minutes In Heaven, the incredible true story of Don Piper, who died in a car accident, experienced heaven and returned to face severe physical, emotional and spiritual challenges has secured a distribution deal with Samuel Goldwyn Films and will be released in theatres across the US on Friday September 11th 2015.
The film is being produced by Giving Films and is based on Don Piper’s New York Times best selling book of the same name. It starts Hayden Christensen (Star Wars) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) as Don and Eva Piper. It is being directed by Michael Polish (The Astronaut Farmer).
Don Piper died Jan. 18, 1989 when a semi-tractor truck crushed his car. Declared dead by the first rescue workers to arrive on the scene, Don’s body lay under a tarp for the next 90 minutes. Don’s soul, meanwhile, experienced love, joy and life as he’d never known before. Don was in Heaven.
