The Encounter Series – Episode 7: For Better, For Worse Review

Our Summary

The penultimate episode of The Encounter Series is very thought provoking, and will lead us to look at our lives, to look at any addictions we may have that are getting in the way of our relationships, or any sins such as pride that may be getting in the way of forgiving others, now is the time to give it all over to Jesus. Jesus has forgiven us of much, so we should forgive others. May Jesus heal the hurts and restore the relationships in your lives.

Our Full Review

For Better, For Worse, episode 7 of Pure Flix’s The Encounter Series is another thought provoking story that looks at marriage and addiction.

The episode looks at the story of a married couple, though currently separated and on the edge of divorce as the husband’s gambling addiction forced them apart. Stuck in the middle of this is the battle for custody of their daughter, who just wants to see her parents back together as a family. The young girl is allowed to see her father in a public place whilst supervised by a support worker, who just happens this week to be ‘The Man’ also known as Jesus, will he be able to help them and bring them through their issues and bring them back together?

Brian Bosworth plays the role of the father, who has been struggling with gambling addictions and some anger issues, he plays the part well and you can tell that he is a broken man, who has been seeking help and who so desperately wants to be with his daughter and wife again. There are some emotional moments in scenes with him and his daughter.

Morgan Bosworth again plays her part well as the prideful, perfectionist wife who wants her husband as far away as possible, until she encounters Jesus.

Perhaps though the main character in this story is the daughter who’s childlike faith knows Jesus straight away and asks Him to help her parents, she really brings the story along and adds to some emotional moments.

The penultimate episode of The Encounter Series is very thought provoking, and will lead us to look at our lives, to look at any addictions we may have that are getting in the way of our relationships, or any sins such as pride that may be getting in the way of forgiving others, now is the time to give it all over to Jesus. The Encounter Series is not to be missed, a new episode airs on PureFlix.com every Friday.
