JESUS: A Deaf Missions Film is an outstanding and powerful retelling of the life of Jesus in American Sign Language. This is one of the most important outreach films since the Jesus film project.

This is the first ever feature film of Jesus’ life told entirely in American Sign Language, this enables barriers to be broken and to reach the Deaf community, one of the largest unreached groups in the world, with the life changing message of the Gospel. The film also features subtitles for those who do not yet know sign language or for those who are not Deaf. 

Produced for Deaf by Deaf, the entire cast are fluent in sign language and the acting is fantastic, they really bring the story to life for the Deaf community and show that Jesus is for everyone.

This film is incredibly accessible and should be commended for that, it not only reaches the Deaf community but it is also accessible and powerful for the non-Deaf too, perhaps in ways that you wouldn’t expect. If you know someone who is Deaf take them to see this, and if you are Deaf and know someone who isn’t, also take them to see this film to experience and understand how powerful this film is.

There is some artistic license in the story, but it tells the story of Jesus in an understandable way, and shares the powerful truth that Jesus came to take our sins upon Him, so that we can be forgiven and have eternal life.
