Lifemark is an inspirational pro-life movie that celebrates adoption, redemption, forgiveness and life.
Based on a true story, this movie from the Kendrick Brothers is directed by Kevin Peeples and follows 18 year old David whose comfortable world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, longing to meet the son she has only held once. With the encouragement of his adoptive parents, David embarks on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past.
This is a wonderful story and being a true story adds to the beauty of it, a positive adoption story! We know that not all adoption stories are positive but what a joy to see an adoption story that is positive, we need to hear more positive adoption stories, this film is an encouragement to adopt. The film also points us to the real documentary that shows us the real story that this film was based upon and if you enjoyed and were inspired by Lifemark, the documentary is definitely worth a watch.
We don’t want to give much away, so will try and refrain from revealing too much but this is well produced, well directed and well acted. The story is incredible with lots of emotion, comedy and inspiration, there is also some incredible twists that makes this a pro-life, pro-adoption movie.
This film will have you celebrating as you’re drawn into David’s story and go on his journey with him to meet his birthmother as they learn about each others pasts.
The film features Kirk Cameron, Raphael Ruggero as David (in his first movie role), Rebecca Rogers Nelson, Alex Kendrick, Justin Sterner, Dawn Long and Marisa Hampton.
Overall Lifemark is a movie to watch, it is an inspirational and incredible pro-life movie that brings a positive message of life, forgiveness, redemption and adoption.
