Brilliant

What If… is a family friendly, comedy drama that will have you in fits of laughter while considering God’s calling for your life.

The film follows Ben Walker, who fifteen years ago made a decision to leave his college sweetheart Wendy and ultimately his faith, in order to pursue a lucrative business opportunity. Now on the verge of marriage to an equally materialistic fiancé, he is visited by an angelic mechanic who tells him that he needs to see what his life would have been like had he followed God’s calling.

What follows is a hilarious story of Ben suddenly waking up being married to Wendy and having two children, and also finding out he is the pastor of a Church and it is his first day. Desperately wanting his old life back, he realises he is stuck in this reality so decides to go along with it. Throughout there are many laughs, as we see Ben trying to adjust to his new life as a father, pastor and husband and not always getting it right.

What If… is a heartwarming comedy, that is well directed by Dallas Jenkins, coupled together with a brilliantly written story and some wonderful acting from Kevin Sorbo who plays Ben Walker and John Ratzenberger who plays Mike the Angel.

Ultimately Ben discovers that if he followed God’s calling, he would have had the life he always wanted. Prompting us to consider that great What If and God’s calling on our lives, have we followed His plan or our own?, or maybe we are at a crossroads wondering which way to go. Even if you have messed up, God gives you another chance.

What If… is an inspirational family friendly comedy. You’ll be laughing while at the same time considering what God has called you too, are you on the right journey or have you decided to follow a different path? This film is not to be missed.
