Vanished – Left Behind: Next Generation is a powerful and gripping, heart pounder of a film which will perfectly capture the interests of teenagers and young adults.

The film is based on Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins’ best selling books and takes place just as the rapture happens and a billion people around the world suddenly vanish. It follows a group of teenagers who have lost their parents in the event: Gabby, her younger sister Claire and two boys Josh and Flynn who both are vying for Gabby’s affection. These teenagers are trying to figure out what has happened whilst also trying to survive in a suddenly dangerous world and set out to try and find Gabby and Claire’s dad.

Vanished is excellently produced and is an awesome fit for teenagers and young adults, it is really one of the first Christian films that manages to do this so well. This is partly down to the cast who carried the film well and feature in many teen based programs including ‘Teen Wolf’ but also down to the script, direction and the pace of the film. The pacing is quick and perfect, packed with action, adventure, romance and suspense it has the feel of a Twilight film mixed with the right amount of faith that doesn’t preach but instead asks the questions and guides the viewers to the answers.

Vanished – Left Behind: Next Generation is an end of the world adventure with many twists and turns that will be gripping for any teenager, and adult alike, it will have you on the edge of your seat whilst prompting you to think about your life and your faith. This film has the potential to change lives, it is powerful and the message can really reach the hearts and mind of those who watch this.

This is a thrilling must see movie for any teenager, especially those that are into the Twilight series and other related films. With the possibility of more films this could be a generational hit.
