God Bless The Broken Road is a well made, emotional and dramatic must see film.
The film follows Amber, a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan. We see her struggle to raise their daughter as she encounters financial problems and loses her house while on the edge of losing her faith. At the same time she meets Cody, a stock car racing driver, helping at the church (being sent on a sort of community service for being too reckless in races) and creating a go-cart club which her daughter attends. While Amber has to learn the hard way to lean on and trust God, finally realising why her husband died, Cody has to learn when to go slow during a race and in life too.
This is a fantastically made, dramatic film, with strong production values, excellent cinematography and is well directed by Harold Cronk. The story flows, and is raw, gripping, passionate and emotional. With believable and realistic acting from a strong cast, the emotion and struggles really come across, making this film a real tear jerker.
People will be able to relate to this story, many may have lost loved ones during wars, struggled raising children or with finances. As well as packing an emotional punch, this film has strong messages of faith, love and hope, which encourages, inspires and comforts. Sometimes we may be wondering what God’s plan is in our lives when we are struggling and life seems to be falling apart and this film helps to answer your questions and bring hope.
Overall God Bless The Broken Road is an emotional and gripping film with life messages that will encourage our faith to follow God’s plan for our lives and bring hope to many during life’s many trials. This is a must see film and one of the best made Christian films of this year.
