Great

The UnMiracle, inspired by true events, is an encouraging film that has the potential to change lives.

The film sees the most popular girl in school end up in a coma from a drugs overdose and the implications of that to those connected to her. This leads to an interwoven series of seven stories of the characters and how they deal with what they are going through and what they are searching for.

First off, what is the title all about? What is an UnMiracle? The film puts it this way: “Once I was lost. But that’s the unmiracle. You have to be lost before you’re found.” This is really what the film is about, knowing that even though you are lost, even though you are at your darkest lowest point, turn to Jesus and know that there is true freedom and hope found in Him.

Even though this is a low budget film, the story is well thought through and put together. Each person’s story in the film weaves alongside another, how they all see the world differently and the situations they are in, how they are searching for peace and how they are filling that void. These stories, based on true events, all lead to one place and that is Jesus. We see the hope, strength and freedom that only Jesus can bring.

The UnMiracle has a great message, which is delivered without being forced. The film is dramatic and has the potential to change lives, to prompt people to think twice about taking drugs and also for people to know that no matter how low they are, no matter how addicted they may be to drugs, alcohol or anything at all, that there is help and there is way to break the addiction through Jesus Christ, who can bring ultimate freedom.

If you are struggling with addiction, or know someone that is, or searching for freedom and peace, this is a film to watch, to give you hope and know true freedom is found in Christ.
