This episode is well produced and directed and is excellently acted, it is great to see Kass Conners back playing the Accuser, he is brilliant in the role as is Michael Ironside as the Judge. Again Bruce Marchiano is brilliant as ‘The Man’ and all through the series has given us a small glimpse into the character and love of Jesus.
Maximum Mike follows a harsh judge who never shows any mercy and gives everyone who comes into his courtroom the maximum sentence. However the things take an interesting turn when ‘The Man’ steps in to be an advocate for the accused. This is when things get very exciting and gripping as we see the judge in front of Jesus…
Maximum Mike is a great portrayal of the gospel, in the episode we see the tables turned on the judge, who is being judged for the wrong he has done in his life, with the accuser trying to make it worse. The judge is Jesus, who judges righteously and fairly, and will step in and be our advocate if we ask Him.
Jesus is our advocate, who stands in our place and has taken the punishment when He died upon the cross for all the things we have done wrong, all the times we ignored God. Jesus rose from to dead so that we can have new life with Him, being made whole and forgiven, being given an eternal destination with Him. All we have to do is just ask Jesus to be our advocate, to say sorry and ask for forgiveness of our sins and we can be free in Him.
